The Estate

The estate is a structure with hallways and connecting rooms on both sides of the 1st floor, the 2nd floor and the 3rd floor. In the center of the home, the spiral wooden staircase ascends up to the 3rd floor.

The rooms in the third floor were expanded so that the load-bearing structures of the roof are partially open, offering more height.

The estate was built in 1912 in its current form, in 1925, the entrance and the porch were extended. In 1930 the estate was shaped in a more modern way: the staircase has been changed to its present form and the great room was designed: a band of open light windows, varnished hardwood flooring, the ceiling and the heating covers are made of white lacquered wood and a voluminous open Travertine fireplace gives you the idea of how impressive the entire estate can be equipped to suit your personal needs and desires.

The estate was completely renovated in 1961 and one of the former large rooms became a bathroom and veranda. The bathroom was built with marble and offers a great view of the lake.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, extensive renovation work was carried out to obtain and maintain the entire structure.



The estate was probably most impressive after the reconstruction in the 30s. The hardwood flooring in the downstairs great room is still preserved, whilst original red-painted blanks in the rest of the house, are now covered with carpeted needle felt flooring, indicating the latter use of the estate as an office building.



The box windows were completely repaired and are in good condition, some would have to be repainted outside. In the inner casement of the box windows in 1999 double insulated glass was incorporated. The old fittings were largely preserved to open and close well. Single windows in some rooms are made of PVC (circa 1996), in the attic there are, in addition to new Velux roof windows, also composite windows from the GDR time. The windows of the veranda were newly installed in 2000.

Most doors are made of wood, painted white with glass, some of the old fittings are still present in the original state.


The heating consists of 2 units. The attic is heated with its own gas floor heating, the rest of the house is connected to a built in Vaillant central heating with condensing boiler installed in 2018. All electrical work and the façade were redone in the 1990s.
